WA Update.

Time for an update from the west, The trip across Australia is now over and I have arrived safely to Geraldton. People asked me why I decided to drive the 4500km to WA and not just take a plane. Well to answer that is simple, choice of gear. I've arrived in Geraldton on Monday(01/02/2010) for a 4 week windsurfing holiday and that's what I plan to do for the entire time that I'm here. Day 1....I was greeted with only a 15 knot sea breeze but due to the fact that I have a van full of gear I could get out and blasting...which after 3 days on the road is just what I needed. Had I chose to fly I'd be limited to a board and 3 sails and would have spent the first day on the beach watching the kite boarders have all the fun.

First close up encounter of a toothy kind today, It was kind of graceful until I remembered that he could have me for lunch, honestly it didn't bother me to much, I just thought how cool was that. Then as I slogged out over the final wave about to tack and head back in I recalled every jaws movie I had ever seen, needless to say it was my worst tack ever.
